The Australian Perth Mint is minting its third lunar series in a row. The coins in this series are minted each year with a new design based on the Chinese lunar calendar. These are highly sought after coins among collectors and investors worldwide.
Undoubtedly, the 2025 series will be no exception.
Each animal of the lunar zodiac is said to bestow its dominant characteristics on those born during its rule. The sixth of 12 auspicious animal symbols, the snake confers wisdom, intelligence, independence, and charm on those born under its influence in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977 and every 12th preceding year.
The coin’s reverse portrays a coiled snake on the ground beneath hanging leaves. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘snake’, the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, fineness, and the monetary denomination.
The coin is housed in a protective capsule.
Don't forget that we offer a premium, elegant case for all 12 Australian Lunar Coin III 1 oz coins in their original capsules.
