This unique silver coin was introduced by the Australian Perth Mint as a new coin in 2018, making the 2022 edition the fifth in the series. The 1 ounce (31.1 g) coin made of the purest 99.99% silver sold out quickly in 2018. All subsequent vintages have followed a similar scenario.

The coin is stored in a protective plastic capsule.

This silver investment coin shows on its reverse two emu birds in an Australian landscape, the edge of the coin is lined with the inscription "AUSTRALIAN EMU" and Perth Mint, Purity, Pure, and Initial Details of "P".

The obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. (by Jody Clark and "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA", and face value).
