The 2023 Britannia silver coin continues the tradition of issuing popular mintings of The Royal Mint. This has been going on since 1997. From the year 2021, modern security elements were added (hidden image, microtext and microlinks).

Obverse side displays the 5th effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (by Ian Rank-Bradley), along with the face value. 

Reverse side features the legendary figure of Britannia holding a trident and shield. Theme varies according to the year of issue and the author is a renowned sculptor Philip Nathan.
